Severe Weather Awareness Week - Day 1
LAWRENCE -- As the storm season approaches, emergency experts help the public prep for all types of stormy weather.

It serves as a bad weather refresher, and introduces new information into the weather conversation. During Severe Weather Awareness Week, KLWN will devote time each day of the week to an issue associated with severe weather.
KLWN will take part each day of the week by providing conversations with Douglas County Emergency Management and guests from different Lawrence industries and perspectives, in preparing for severe weather season.
Day 1 is a refresher on severe weather terminology, and how to prep for the Statewide Tornado Drill.
Joined by Teri Smith, Director of Douglas County Emergency Management, and Pat Deaver of VNA, to talk about their weather preps for employees and clients.
