-- The Lawrence Humane Society hopes to go empty with a one-day no-cost effort to match every animal to a new family.
Officials with the Lawrence Humane Society have announced they will once again take part in Clear the Shelters Day, a one-day national initiative to try to find homes for every adoptable pet in their care. The event is set for Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Lawrence Humane Society (1805 E. 19th Street). The local effort will include longer hours, added staff, and all adoption fees waived for one day only.
Megan Scheibe of the Lawrence Humane Society sits down with KLWN to provide all the details, and how to the adoption process will work.
