Governor Accepts Ambassador Nomination
TOPEKA -- Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has been asked to join the Trump administration, and says he will take up the role.
At a news conference at the Capitol in Topeka on Thursday, Governor Sam Brownback announced he will accept a nomination from the White House to assume the role of Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom.
The governor talked about the timeline for his transition, the next governor, and his reflections on his career serving Kansas.
