Suspects Sought in Lawrence Shooting
LAWRENCE -- A Kwik Shop employee is hurt during an attempted robbery early Friday morning.
Officials with the Lawrence Police Department say officers were called to the Kwik Shop at 6th and Kasold at about 3:40am Friday morning. Authorities say an employee of the store was outside when he was approached by two men, who then tried to rob him. A gun was fired during the confrontation, and police say the Kwik Shop employee was struck. Police say the man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at an area hospital.
The suspects, two men wearing bandanas over their faces, dark colored hooded sweatshirts, and dark colored pants, ran north from the Kwik Shop, then west on 5th Terrace.
