Morning News Watch with John Flood:
Weekdays 6-8a
“The Morning News Watch” with John Flood airs every weekday morning from 6am-8am.  These two hours every morning are dedicated to local, state, and national news headlines. The weather forecast is aired and updated every 10 minutes during this time. The newscast featured within The Morning News Watch was recognized by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters in the category of Complete Newscast for 2015. Flood also announces charitable events coming up, and conducts regular interviews with the Lawrence Humane Society (animal welfare and adoption topics) and Dr. Wes Crenshaw twice a month (family psychologist focusing on teen development issues). These conversations with Dr. Crenshaw are valuable to our demographic, as parents prepare to send their children into the real world or next step in education. Shelby O’Neal is a senior at KU and KLWN employee, and joins John and Dr. Crenshaw each time to add the insight of a young adult. The feedback has been rewarding.
